Hi all
For some reason recently, I have inadvertently turned on the feature that displays paragraph markers, line breaks, etc. while in Word. I obviously hit some combination of keys that causes this to happen but have no idea how to turn these displays back off. Any hints?
That drove me to drink.
I don’t think you hit any keystrokes to turn it on, and I don’t know how it gets on, but. Lol
I’ll try to explain it easy.
I’m using Jaws 16 and Word 2013, but I think this works anyway for other word versions 2007 and up.
First try the Word quick settings. Opening a word document like you are going to type, then press insert V. Arrow down until you fined the new line and paragraph indication. You’ll understand how to turn that off when you get there.
Before using this option, paragraph marks and other formatting symbols must first be visible in the document. In Word 2007 or later, press ALT+H, and then 8.
I’d try to do it with the quick setting feature first, if not start with the controls alt H and 8 then do the quick settings.
Now you can be in peace. Lol
OK Wayne, that helped. Thanks. I use JAWS 15 with Office 2013 but didn't know about the quick settings for Word.
